...If this turns into a universe full of lore on the level of Pokemon or something... Nope. That's crazy. This is just a simple, unassuming match-3 game. Right?
the chuzzles are a mutated race of Koosh Balls that were made in a lab but escaped and took a rocket ship to mars
they chuzzles mated (we don't talk about that very much) and now there's like 1 billion on them on mars
due to their extra fluffy bodies they do not require heating as their bodies are naturally heated by the excess of hairs, but a rare disease found in some will cause chuzzles to literally sneeze all their hairs off and freeze to death
in search of a less boring home the chuzzles return to earth, and now it is the players job to combine chuzzles into a highly volatile concoction that will rocket all chuzzles collected pac-man ghost style back to space and off the mars
the organization responsible for it has an unknown name but it made of several parts, examples being the Puzzles and Classic divisions
some cases tell of crazed scientists from the first chuzzle experiment locking chuzzles up, in which case they must be freed with the help of their comrades using the same method used to capture them
sometimes, chuzzles feed excessively off of earth's natural resources and get bloated (about the size of 8 chuzzles in a cube form), being a general nuicanse despite not actually wanting to cause trouble due to their big body getting in the way of other chuzzle migration patterns
My personal headcanon is that the Chuzzles are from a world called Chuzzania and that they're mischievous, fun-loving creatures who produce a mysterious substance called Essence of Chuzzle (the same substance that goes into the bottles), which is a natural cure all, and is released when Chuzzles are popped by getting into groups of 3 or more. However, popping doesn't really hurt them at all because of that Essence, and it also allows them to reform after a while... Because of this, they've made releasing it into a game, and once it's bottled up, they share it with other creatures in need.
