I made this song using Beepbox 2 (evident by the "6" after the # in the URL) but I could not improve it since Beepbox 3 rolled out as RwK does not support Beepox 3. You'll notice after clicking on the link below, the URL will change to have "7" after the #, indicating Beepbox 3. I used FM channels exclusively and tried to mimic guitar sounds to match the original song as close as possible. The channels I ended up with does sound a little like a guitar but far from adequate imo. With Beepbox 3.0, I found a really nice sounding preset
There are no "FM channel" options when using the composer on http://www.raptisoft.com/composemost probably to maximise performance in the game as the FM channels does require somewhat more resources. So we won't be able to use FM channels in any songs hence forth until there is support for 3.0, alas.
Hey guys. I just did a song in the new app version. But I can’t figure out the trick to get it to play in RWK. I tried copying it into the old raptisoft compose url but it didn’t work. Any tricks?
I've only ever used beepbox.co to create the songs I did/do, I never used the one on raptisoft.com. On beepbox.co you get a larger range of sounds and channels to play with including the FM channels. On compose, these options are limited and there are also no FM channels.
So the "new sounds" you ask about in the comments section on my latest level is not new at all. These sounds are FM channels and I've used FM channels in quite a few of my songs in the past :) FM channels are not shown on compose so if you used compose in the past, you would not have had the ability to use any FM channels.
I still have around 50 songs I made with Beebox 2. All these songs still have the #6 in the URL. If however, I click on the link to open it and perhaps edit it, beepbox.co converts the URL to the new format with a #7 in the URL, or Beepbox 3. When this happens, you can't use the song in RwK anymore. With the songs I have, that do not use FM channels, I can just copy the URL and add it in after http://www.raptisoft.com/compose.html#6.... But this breaks if I try to copy a beep that uses FM channels.
I have a few songs left that I can still use, although they are partially completed, like the recent "Tristram" and "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy". I made these songs some time ago on beepbox.co (when it was still Beepbox 2) but now, I can't improve the songs anymore as if I tried, it would convert the URL into Beepbox 3, which RwK does not support at the moment.
What I will have to do with any new songs, or indeed, ones that are too incomplete, is to completely redo them verbatim on compose. I have tried replacing the 7 with a 6 but this breaks the beep in many ways. Gutted as I got well versed with FM channels!
No, all my existing beeps are 6n. But of course, I couldn't edit these anymore until your revelation. I can now just paste my existing beep starting with #6n... into the 2.3 link and I'll be able to edit without redoing it.
A few new beeps I started since the update (again, up until your revelation!) I did in http://www.raptisoft.com/compose but will now use the 2.3 link.
I think FM was excluded because it's very resource intensive. I can make 8bit sounding beeps using FM channels no problem :)

Song: Tristram
So for any brand new songs from scratch, you can only use compose? And you won’t have access to any of the large assortment of instruments?
Was just hoping for more instruments. I never used co. And I don’t have any already started,
