Why not take a quick look at some video footage on YouTube for comparison?
-
Great to hear the game is ready for beta testing. Just submitted my e-mail address.
-
Oh, that's problematic. You see, nobody really knows who owns Sandlot Games nowadays. They sold themselves to Digital Chocolate in 2011, who then shut them down in 2012 before going bust themselves some point later. Ever since then, their games just…

I was planning to do a cheat run of the game soon just for the fun of it where I make myself overpowered by watching massive amounts of ads. That should help you a bit. I'd never make use of the ability to get extra gold for ads or Bribe Destiny ot…

Do you still have a compiled version of Get Lucky? If so, you could at least extract its assets from it to speed things up a little. Unless you'd have to re-draw them in a higher resolution anyway. Don't know how much the standards have changed sinc…

Looking forward to the "Beat Peppermaster without sneezing" achievement.
-
To be honest, yeah, I'm not expecting all that much from the game. But it would still be nice to have this part of your history preserved. Incidentally, is Boonka Snap just the same game with a different coat of paint or does it have actual gamepla…

Oh dear. You didn't just say you were going to get Boneyard ready for beta testing today, did you? Have you forgotten your universal realignment curse?
-
Wait, the game is moddable?
-
Not when it realigns to make John's life miserable.
-
I'm not surprised. Judging by what little video footage the game has, its gameplay appears to be quite simple. If you really can't find the source code anywhere, is there any chance you could remake it at some point? Not now, of course.
-
John recently said he hasn't been able to find the source code for Get Lucky. This probably includes its PC version.
-
Looking forward to Keep HD. Can't wait to fight a boss who showers you with pepper.
-
So it's like Solomon's Keep in that you had to simplify Hoggy 1 to make it work on ancient iPhones and consider Hoggy 2 the full realization of your original vision?
-
You mean Hoggy 2, right?
-
You have to enable it from the options menu before you can use it. Also, it now costs gold rather than real money. You really shouldn't use it at all, though. The main appeal of the game lies in having to improvise based on the options it gives you…
-
Ah, okay. I guess some compatibility issues are to be expected from internal debug builds.
-
Nevermind, just managed to beat the entire first set of levels. Looks like Hoggy's freely adjustable speed in the mobile versions is just a gimmick to make the tilt controls feel more natural. Really appreciate seeing this game preserved.
-
If this version is identical with the last closed build, then definitely not. There were no real ads in that one.
-
Whoops. Looks like I found another abandonware iOS game with nearly the same name, then. Perhaps part of the reason the game flopped is because there are so many apps with similar names. Also, thanks a lot for uploading these two PC versions. I gu…

For those curious about Four Letter Words, here's the only video footage I could find of it.
-
I'd be interested in them. Same with Get Lucky and Boonka Snap, though those of course depend on whether or not you can find their source code.
-
You are aware that Hoggy 1 won't be seeing any further updates, right? All that's happening is that its levels are being ported to Hoggy 2.
-
That's pretty worrying. If you have no means of preventing the crashes, how about making the game save after every ad? Then people at least won't lose any gold from the previous ads.
-
I watched some video footage of it. The porting team went for a pretty bizarre approach. They added a whole new mode that's more along the lines of Super Monkey Ball, yet for some reason, they removed some of the original mode's levels. So it's hard…
-
Perhaps this is related to the issues the Android version has with ads? I got at least four crashes in the latest beta build, two of which forced me to restart my phone by giving me an inescapable black screen. They also made me lose all the gold I …

3. It would be really unfortunate if the old levels ended up just disappearing. Unless you can somehow find a way to convert them or make a 64-bit version of RWK read them, that would just result in two inferior ports of the game that will never get…
-
Bit surprised you're considering making significant changes to Boneyard's 64-bit versions, considering you decided not to for Keep due to how difficult it was to port.
-
Interesting to hear. I guess I can understand that. I'll see if I can think of something. I assume your muse is also to blame for your inability to finish Solomon Dark?
-
Yeah, really appreciate how communicative you are as well. Part of why I hate the AAA industry is due to its near-complete ignorance of fan feedback, so I love seeing developers be so open about what they're doing.
