  • Hey Phrosty, re-reading your stuff, I'm almost wondering if your phone is somehow reporting a weird clock speed that is causing the game to run faster.  Are you able to upload a video of some gameplay?  Also, would you mind playing Keep to see if …
  • Thanks... added to my list.
  • Hi Greenwood, no solution just yet.  But keep your savegame-- the update will fix it.  All you'll want to do is leave the floor, and return to it (either by going down the stairs or by going to town and back).
  • Nope, this is first mention.  Does it give you a message when you try to retrieve them, or does it simply not show you the items?
  • Let me know phrosty!  I thought quad was pretty long in duration (otherwise it wouldn't be worth fighting your way to get over to them), but if something got warped in the porting, I'll want to normalize it.
  • Got it... fixed in next build.
  • Which character?  All of them, or one specific one?
  • Second wave of emails, you have been given access. Note: At least one e-mail was refused by google, I think because it isn't registered on the google play store.  Whoever used "naver.com," it didn't allow your e-mail to be imported as a playtester.…
  • The iOS version is working, I'm just letting the Android people find any glitches with the new system and port, and recommend any price tweaking.  But I won't hold off the iOS release for fixing, say, problems with specific Android phones or glitche…
  • Yes-- just create a new thread, or chime in on a thread if someone else has one posted.
  • Actually, on Android I could unencrypt it... the only reason I did that for SB on iOS was because it used the gamecenter high score lists.  I haven't figure out yet how to use the google equivalent without crashing the game.
  • @Peppermaster, have you ever played the "Dungeonmans?" (on Steam)  It has a pretty innovative concept where you can quit your run any time and become a "teacher" at the Hero Academy-- which then can impart your skills onto any new characters. It fo…
  • First batch of testers, your e-mails just went live.  You should be able to use that link now (or soon-- it might take Google time to propagate it, I am not 100% sure how quick that operates) Remember, you'll need to visit this link: https://play.g…
  • Ah, well, from game developer perspective... you don't want your players to make the choice to "stop playing." :) But I think the idea is very good, very dark, and very deep.  I think it could be a VERY good fantasy story, even a novel if you maybe…
  • But sadly, it's impossible to learn too much about The Incident, you can only theorize what used to be there, and why it happened, etc, by researching any records that HAVE survived.  But the size of the incident, and the fact that you can actually …
  • Hey Peppermaster... that's a really good idea, except for one thing: it'd made a FANTASTIC book.  But I love the idea of a sort of cursed treasure hunting place that just continuously draws you in until hunting for treasure becomes your singular pur…
  • I hadn't planned much of them for Dark, except as graveyard locales... the as yet unwritten game Son of Solomon was intended to be an open-worldy kind of game that dropped you in the map and let you explore it. Paladins are from all over, but the C…
  • Yes, the feats are broken in the initial release.  They are already fixed in the code and will operate correctly when I update (which is about a day or so after I get Boneyard into its testing phase)
  • Yep, I don't get royalties on Boonka either.  Not that Boonka made very much.  But yeah, same situation, though I doubt Boonka royalties would be worth going after.  Though that game might do okay on mobile.
  • I am able to get hold of the assets... just the code is gone.  Yeah, it'd be pretty easy to put the Boonka Snap graphics right in, too.  Though I'm a little unsure what my current legal status is with Boonka Snap-- I technically gave Sandlot Games t…
  • @Vyasi, yep, I understood--- but the saved games and the gold data are all the in the same place, so if it got wiped somehow, it should all be gone.  That's why I'm suspecting something weird with iCloud (and I've had at least one other person get h…
  • No, exact same game with different graphics.  Didn't even change one line of code.  But it had really nice music (Boonka has the best music of any game you've never heard of). But I wrote Get Lucky as a test app to just see how this whole iPhone th…
  • Well, be aware that unless you SPECIFICALLY make a game for modding, we developers leave in all kinds of crazy stuff.  In this case, what happened was your XP accumulator went over the threshold, but the game is like, of COURSE nothing in the game c…
  • I didn't give a date... but in this case it does mean beta testing.  But it goes to Rastapopoulon first so he can find anything super obvious like "hey, if you talk to the Archchancellor, the game immediately crashes."
  • @BastiK, got anything out there we can look at?
  • Hi Vyasi... I will look into this.  I had a problem before with iOS where I was storing the files in the cache area instead of in the cloud area, but if that was happening your gold would be gone too. I also had another user who was getting their g…
  • The dangers of editing! :)
  • In SKHD... the old code is so difficult for me to work with (just forgot lots of it over time) that anything I do in it risks adding new bugs (this is why the ports go so slowly)... but in SKHD, I am going to have a whole lot of crazy stuff-- you ca…
  • Yeah, actually it'd be a nice lark to do between projects.  But guys... that game is like the biggest nothingburger.  It's barely a game, it's more a slot machine.
  • Well, honestly, Get Lucky is a game that can be written over again, completely from scratch, in less than 24 hours. :)
