Solomon's Keep HD will have many more spells and ways to play! It's in progress (if you check back here, I sometimes post screenshots, though there won't be one this week because a horrible flu swept through my household)
-
Always 13! But there are some side doors that are "effectively" other floors.
-
Hm, I'm surprised to hear the XGL because I did set up the game at some point (I don't remember if it was something I did after the last beta) to make the player's position be the "center point." As for earth magic, it's probably not going into Kee…

Not with the Paladin, obviously. However, magic welding has confused *so* many people (I get a few emails every week) that it is going to be changed up so it's easier to understand.
-
Working on it guys! It's gonna be good, I promise!
-
Well, sadly, a lot of it was, heh. But I'm trying to make the best of the situation.
-
At this time, no. I am folding many aspects of Solomon Dark into Keep-- for instance, Keep will have a pretty simple survival minigame that you can play just for fun as a short game-- i.e. it'll have Boneyard baked in. But at this time if I ever r…

Some of them are round, but I am making them few and far between because I want to keep a certain style to things. I also don't want it to be TOO haphazard because I want it to be very easy to navigate and remember.
-
I haven't submitted yet. I want to have a playable Paladin demo for the greenlight.
-
No, my intention is to beta the game with just the paladin, but release with paladin, wizard, rogue, and necromancer. Then if the support is there, I will add Druid, Samurai, and Priest (multiplayer only) and some additional stuff as an expansion p…

I can! The minion class is "The Necromancer" and the character is a disgruntled apprentice of Solomon who decides to make a play for the keep himself. So anything you've seen Solomon do in the games is open to this character, except of course, not…
-
I'll give it some thought... I don't want to break the "exploring the dungeon" feel of it by putting warps everywhere though!
-
Future classes are fully dependent on how well the game does, but at this time I have in my notebook some notes about a cleric class that is ONLY available in multiplayer, and basically is only a support class, being able neither to use weapons effe…

In Solomon Dark there was a Glass Cannon perk you could buy, which made you take double damage and deal double damage... I was planning to get that into Keep, because it's pretty fun. I tried an experiment with the original Solomon's for April Fool…

Yep, I got it... thanks!

Does anyone know how I can contact Shaun Musgrave at TouchArcade? This is a very very nice review, and I want to thank him and make sure he gets a pre-copy of Keep when it's ready. They don't seem to have a contact page, and I don't think #ShaunMu…

Sweet! Do you have a link?

This enemy is viable with some rework... though I'm not sure "displacement" would be very fun, since anyone not "in the know" will simply be confused why the creature doesn't seem to get hurt. I like the idea of something that fights you for a bit …

Hi Caleb, can you upload a screenshot? Depending on the situation, it might be possible to get you out.
-
Wow, Tears, be safe out there.
-
It's a tribute! I was a big fan of that game back in the day. In new versions it's getting tossed for something original, though.
-
Wind, Duck, I like your ideas combined and I have noted them. I do like the idea of "a mob," and you control ALL of them, and they slowly die, and you can only hope that you can get to the top with at least one. So that's gone into the book. If t…

Until the game is fully playable with the paladin, there will only be a tech demo. I probably could put the tech demo out right now, but I'm aware of a psychological phenomenon that exists: When you show your work before it's completed, you get all…

It's not that bad... programming is like a brick wall. The finished wall looks too complicated to be done, but in the end it's just putting one brick on another brick for a long time.
-
Well, naturally I can't give permission to call it Hamsterball and use game assets or themes, but there's a ton of room in the market for more rolling ball games!
-
Thanks XGL, I edited original.
-
I've learned enough working on an MMO for it to be a possibility now... prior to this it wouldn't have been possible. Also made putting multiplayer into Solomon a *lot* easier.
-
Yeah, Solomon's too dark for CC. Also, it's a completely separate company that I don't have ownership of, thus I don't want to give away my IP to it. Player base goes up and down... if you want a lot of people on, the weekend is the time to play. …

Well, right now, it *should* work on an iPad, just larger! Unless Apple has been playing around with compatibility... if you browse to the iPhone games on iPad and download it there, it should play, just resized to fit the screen.
-
Hm, there must be something about it slipping through my "level has changed" checks. If Apple hadn't changed things so much that I can't compile it any more, it'd be easy to get in there and fix it, but this is one of the perils of working with App…
